Book Description:

1,135,789. That’s how many subscribers sixteen-year-old West Ryder has on his web vlog series. But he only has eyes for one of them.

As one of the internet’s most prestigious video bloggers, West talks about high school relationships under the name “Sam Green.” As far as he knows, no one from school, not even his best friend, Cat, has seen his videos. But the highlight of the whole thing is Harper Knight, who comments every day at exactly 2:02 in the afternoon. He doesn’t know anything about her aside from the occasional deep philosophical messaging on why pizza tastes so delicious, but as stupid as it sounds, he might be falling for her. So when they finally agree to meet in real life, West’s hope for romance seems more and more in reach. But that all changes as soon as he arrives at their meeting spot and sees Cat walking toward him, wearing the same “I ❤ Sam Green” T-shirt Harper promised she’d have on.

To his alarm, West realizes he is falling in love with the best friend who has always been a sister to him.

My Review:

This book was just so awesome! I knew that it would be before I even bought it! Before I read a single page I could predict the awesomeness that would spill forth from its pages! (Yeah, I’ve had too much sugar today.)

The thing that most attracted me to Click To Subscribe was the, of course, the fact that West video blogs. I am a BIG YouTube fan and so this was perfect for me! The price was also very appealing! Most authors price their books high and if it’s just for my kindle, it does put me off a bit. Maybe for a proper physical copy I would spend £8 but NOT for a Kindle. (Anyway, that’s a discussion for another time!)

West has fallen in love with a girl he met online. It’s an easy thing to happen! They decide to meet but it turns out to be his best friend who he’s known his whole life, Cat. The two of them have such funny conversations and everything seems to be a breeze.

But then we learn more about West’s background and problems with his father, and how much he misses his Mum. Click to Subscribe isn’t JUST an easy to read novel that gets forgotten about and hides away in the deepest depths of your kindle. I’ve thought about it plenty of times since I’ve finished it. Some parts of this book really get you in the feels. Not the good kind.

The relationship that Cat and West have at the start of the book is the kind of relationship I want with my boyfriend (whenever he turns up. And maybe more romantic seeing as they weren’t TOGETHER at the start of the book, but you get my meaning. RIGHT?)

Sam and Cat just go together, they fit. They are meant to be.

Overall, I loved it. One of my best reads so far this year. Love it and will be re-reading! Who cares if it was corny in places?

  3. I read this book last night and loved it!!! I was surprised because it seemed so predictable but it was just so sweet!!! And I totally get what your saying about the high prices for kindle!!! It’s so rediculous that a digital copy costs as much as a physical copy when it is obviously cheaper to make! Anyhow loved your review!!! 🙂
